The ICCA Project
GateWest was chosen to be the web site supplier to the ICCA
consortium, led by City & Guilds.
ICCA (Increasing Citizens Choice & Access) started its
life as a project designed to discover what barriers exist to the
uptake of e-services for learners. ICCA can now offer products and
services geared towards overcoming the identified barriers and
describing the factors for successful adoption of e-learning. ICCA
aims to inform and guide both policy and practice, allowing the
benefits of e-learning to be realised and costly mistakes avoided.
Value added by GateWest
GateWest offered a full development support service to ICCA,
including development of Brand, user interface design, web site
build and hosting. Content on the site is managed by Echo, the
GateWest Content Management System.
The site includes a very novel and versatile user interface
that structures and delivers information in an intuitive way -
