Propery and Enviromental Services (PES) currently operate over 20 sites across the UK. The business has evolved from initial inception in 1985 to becoming a key part of BAE Systems Shared Service Business Unit with a net book value in excess of £1 billion. The PES business has formed from integration of Real Estate (RE), Work Place Services (WPS) and Environmental Services (ES).
With the business continuing to grow and evolve, there is need to improve the visibility and accessibility of PES services, whilst providing employees with access to learning, best practice and experts.
The Vision for this project is to provide PES with a Customer and Employee Community where the right information can be accessed by the right people, in a timely fashion. This 'organisational intelligence' capability will provide customers with rapid access to services and support, and provide PES employees with the ability to access business tools, collaborate and "lock in" new learning, thus becoming a self managed learning community.
An organisation wants its people to contribute its know-how, but it also wants them to be informed. The PES Employee Community will for the first time provide rapid answers to key business challenges, provide access to key business tools, and enable employees to collaborate and 'lock in' new learning. The community will also provide market, customer and supplier intelligence.
The PES customer and employee areas will become the engine room of the PES business and integrated into key business processes.
